All About Me, Levi
Hello! I'm a 9th grader in the large town of Flower Mound. Here's some things about me -
Interest:
I spend about half of the year practicing for marching band. I enjoy music, and I enjoy making music even more. I am also a very active gamer, and I play a wide variety of video games. On top of all these, I enjoy reading and good stories in general, even if it's historical or a fictitious podcast.
Activites:
As I mentioned before, I am in the high school band, and for about three months of the year, it is all I do. When I'm not playing percussion in the band, I spend some of my time in Boy Scouts. I am very active, doing things such as service projects and camping. I've even hiked across the Grand Canyon, and next summer I'll go to Philmont, a section of mountains in New Mexico owned by the Boy Scouts.
Favorites:
I like a lot of things. Among the things I like the most are music, literature, good storytelling, video games, and certain sports. For music, I predominantly listen to alternative and house/EDM, and more specifically, the bands Bastille and Glue70. Literature and story telling were mentioned before in interest. but I'll elaborate more here. I've been reading Clive Cussler recently, mostly books from The Oregon Files, but I also listen to a few podcast, and my favorite is Welcome to Nightvale.
Pet Peeves:
I do have many pet peeves, though. One of the biggest things I hate is people who stand 'pigeon-footed' (they have feet like \/). This is probably going to sound hypocritical, but I also dislike hypocrites, even though I am often hypocritical (ironic, right?). The last thing I'll say (I do have more but this page is running long) is people who try to be good at something their not. I see it a lot in percussion, particularly with drumset. People think, "oh, it's not that hard, just play stuff," but then the get to a drumset and have very poor coordination, or they'll walk up to a marimba and say, "it's just a giant piano, it's not that hard," but yet they can barely play anything that sounds good other than a chromatic scale and C/Am scale.
Personality:
If you couldn't already tell, my personality is really special and unique. I'm a very nice and polite person to strangers and my friends, and I try to be a good role model. however, I've noticed that I tend to let my friends and my role models at the time to influence my personality. Another thing is that, if you get to know me, you can see me change from a very quiet introvert to a slightly less quiet somewhat extrovert. Also, if I'm talking to somebody online or through texting, I tend to be more extroverted, and leading the conversation.
Favorites:
Some of my favorite things, if you couldn't tell, are music, food, reading, and video games. I could listen to music to a full day and not get tired of it (I've listened to music for about eight hours straight on a car ride before). Secondly, who doesn't love food? Video games kinda ties into reading, in the fact that I will prefer video games that have extensive stories and neat litle side-stories. For example, one of my favorite games, Destiny, has an arguably bad story line in game, and it is often blamed on bad story telling. However, the game has "Grimoire cards" that you can read on the website or on the app, and they are 98% of the game's story. There are so many parts and side-stories, such people growing mistrustful of others and going insane, average people becoming legends, and a few tragic love stories.
